讲座内容简介：该报告主要介绍线性群的轨道结构与有限群的算术性质的最新研究进展。 

报告人简介：杨勇，1998年获上海交通大学数学专业理学学士学位及自动控制专业工学学士学位，2001年获上海交通大学电气工程专业工学硕士学位，2009年获得美国Florida 大学数学专业博士学位，现为美国Texas State University副教授，重庆市巴渝学者项目教授。已在Advances in Mathematics，Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society， Journal of Algebra， Monatshefte für Mathematik， Archiv der Mathematik，Journal of Algebra and its Applications，Israel Journal of Mathematics，Journal of Group Theory，Communications in Algebra等高级别杂志发表论文近30余篇。主持多项美国、中国基金委科研基金项目及重庆市巴渝学者项目。担任Journal of Algebra, Communications in Algebra, JP Journal of Algebra, American Mathematical Monthly, Frontiers of Mathematics in China, Turkish Journal of Mathematics等杂志审稿人，美国NSA Grant, 中国 NSF Grant评阅人，美国数学评论评论员。
