内容简介：
Southern regions, including areas of Guangdong Province, had been experiencing outbreaks of the dengue fever epidemic. This public health crisis not only caused concerns among the public, but also prompted government agencies and public health departments at all levels to take rapid action to launch large-scale and unprecedented efforts to mitigate and eliminate mosquito vectors. However, despite tremendous efforts, the dengue epidemic continues to spread, with the number of cases rising without a significant decline. This situation has triggered deep reflection by the disease control department and public. 10 years ago, the vice governor of Guangdong Province even asked the famous question: "Why has so much work been done to kill mosquitoes, but the number of cases still cannot come down?" 10 years later, the same question still remains open. In this talk, I will try connect the valuable experience from the successful Zero-COVID policy to explore the key role of public health medical resources in the prevention and control of infectious diseases. Specifically, through dynamical modelling with resource and in-depth bifurcation analysis of the model dynamics, I will explain how the Zero-COVID policy was effectively implemented and ultimately controlled the first outbreak. Then, I will further present some thought on dynamical modelling with public health resource for the transmission of dengue fever, introduce the high codimensional bifurcation of the model and related complex dynamics, to serve as a partial answer to the question from the provincial governor.
主讲人简介：
朱怀平，加拿大约克大学数学和统计系教授，约克大学应用数学首席教授，并行计算与模拟实验室（Lamps）和疾病建模中心（CDM）主任。担任期刊“One Health” 和“Big Data and Information Analytics”的共同主编。2024年获得20年度加拿大应用与工业数学菲尔兹奖。 2025年当选加拿大工业与应用数学学会（CAIMS）主席。
