讲座内容简介：The area of fusion systems is quite new. It models the conjugacy in finite groups. But independently one can see fusion system as a category. From this point of view the question will be if for any fusion system there is a group $G$ such that it is the fusion system of this group. Fusion system for which there is no finite model $G$ are called exotic. We will report on some of them.

报告人简介： Gernot Stroth 教授是国际著名数学家，德国数学会前主席。Gernot Stroth 教授1949年生于德国威斯巴登，1968-1976年德国在美因茨大学学习数学，1976年获得Habilitation，1977-1979年任哈勒-维滕贝格大学讲师，1979-1994年任柏林自由大学教授，自1994年任哈勒-维滕贝格大学教授，2003-2015年任美国普林斯顿高等研究院研究员，自1985年起任Journal of Algebra（代数杂志）编委，目前从事代数学最前沿领域融合系的研究。

马丁路德•哈勒维腾贝格大学（简称：Uni Halle或MLU），始建于1502年，是德国一所著名的国立综合性研究型大学，也是欧洲历史最悠久的大学之一，迄今拥有五百多年历史，并于2002年举行了500周年校庆。历史上，该大学培养过许多杰出校友，包括多位若贝尔物理、化学及医学奖得主及微积分理论奠基人格奥尔格•康托尔。
