The Optoelectronics Technology Institute is dedicated to the design and application development of new photoelectric systems, such as in the LED lighting technology, semiconductor laser technology, optical film technology and optical designs and other research fields. Several cross-cutting projects granted by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the basic business of Central Universities, research institutes and enterprises have been undertaken to support above research work. The Institute has academic exchanges and cooperation with many universities and academic institutions such as the University of Southern California, the University of California, Davis, Optoelectronics Department of the National Chiao Tung University, and the National Central University of Optoelectronics. The Institute also cooperates with Wuxi Laide Electronics Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Tongming Technology Co., Ltd., Suzhou BOE Technology Co., Ltd. and many other companies in the optical design, LED lighting, and launched a series of technical cooperation and research projects. Besides, the LED lighting trainings have been carried out by institute for more than 40 enterprises including PHILPS Co. The trainings received excellent repercussion from those enterprises.
