Founded in 2000, the Institute of Innovation and Education of Jiangnan University is a research institution engaged in conducting research and practice development of innovative education theory. Since its foundation, the Institute has conducted research and practice on a variety of topics including innovative education, innovative personnel training, and creative development. It has organized various types of innovation research, conducted innovative education, and researched on innovation capability development. The institute has received many awards, inculding provincial outstanding teaching achievement award, outstanding teaching achievement award of Jiangnan University, and outstanding achievement award of Wuxi soft science research, among others.
In recent years, the Institute has organized faculty members and students to carry out a series of scientific and technological innovations and inventions, instructed students to improve and develop a number of teaching instruments and facilities, which have been awarded in physical and experimental innovation contests in universities and colleges in Jiangsu Province, among others. More than 200 inventions and utility models have been patented.
